A REQUEST FOR COMMENTS, SUGGESTIONS, AND/OR AMENDMENTS TO THE TOWN OF FRIDAY HARBOR’S CRITICAL AREAS ORDINANCE & SHORELINE MASTER PROGRAM PERIODIC UPDATES

Pursuant to RCW 36.70A and WAC 173-26-104 the Town is required to solicit early public and agency feedback to the proposed 2021 Periodic Updates of the 1997 Critical Areas Ordinance and 2015 Shoreline Master Program, respectively.  Subsequent to the comment period, the Planning Commission will review the comments, suggestions, and/or proposed amendments in their entirety. 

The comment period closes March 5, 2021.  There will be future opportunities to comment.

Following work sessions and required public hearings, the Planning Commission will forward their recommendations to the Friday Harbor Town Council for consideration and subsequent action.

The Town of Friday Harbor has deemed the following Rezone Application complete:  The Application received from Mark & Darlene Hampton requests to rezone Tax Parcel Number 351151002 from Professional Service (PS) to Multifamily Residential (MF).  The subject property is located at 710 Guard Street, Friday Harbor, Washington, San Juan County.

30-DAY PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: December 9, 2020 to January 8, 2021.  To make written comments on this proposal, please submit specific comments no later than 4:30 p.m. on January 8, 2021.
