Arbor Day & Tree City USA

Arbor Day is a special day dedicated to planting trees and celebrating the important benefits that trees provide. For this year’s Arbor Day, the Town is sponsoring our second Arbor Day Poster Contest as part of our program in April.

The Town of Friday Harbor is proud to be entering our sixth year as an established member of Tree City USA. The program is a nationwide movement through the Arbor Day Foundation, that provides framework and resources for communities to manage and expand trees in public spaces such as parks and streetscapes.
