NEW - Friday Harbor Single Family Residential Recycling      

●  The Town is developing a new co-mingle recycling program.

●  Phase one will be implementing the Single Family Residential plan.

●  The Town will be developing a Multi-Family and Commercial Recycling program in the future.

What we will be collecting
Please rinse out any residue prior to recycling.
Aluminum Cans	Magazines
Tin Cans (no paint cans)	Newspapers
Plastic Bottles	Cardboard
Plastic Milk Containers & Lids	Frozen Food Boxes
Plastic Food Containers	Paper Juice / Milk Cartons
Glass Bottles & Jars, lids included	Computer Paper
	Junk Mail
	Phonebooks
	Catalogs

Sorry.  No Styrofoam.

For recycling bubble wrap and packing pellets, please call Aeronautical Services at 378-2640.

For packing pellets only, please call Post San Juan at 378-2400.

When will we be picking up?
Pick up will be on your first scheduled refuse day of the month.
For example, if your refuse pick up day is Tuesday, than your recycling day is the FIRST Tuesday of the month.
Recycling must be in a 32 gallon weather proof container with a lid.  The container must be marked with a “Recycle” label and your address.
The Town will provide the labels.

When we will start the new program?:  July 2, 2012
You will need to sign up to become a part of the Town’s new recycling program.

What will it cost?
Initially the program will be free.  When the Town determines the costs to operate the program a nominal fee will be charged.
