The Town of Friday Harbor strives to provide excellent wastewater treatment, produce clean effluent, and to combat rising treatment and maintenance costs. As a result, the Town of Friday Harbor has developed a program to mitigate the impacts of fats, oils, and grease on the Town's sanitary sewer system at the source of production as defined by this Ordinance 1919 amending FHMC 13.22.

The purpose of this program is to enhance the beneficial public use of the Town of Friday Harbor's sanitary sewer facilities by preventing blockages of sewer lines and other components of the sanitary sewer system resulting from discharges of fats, oils, and grease (FOG).
